Dilema is nothing groundbreaking. As long as you’re not expecting something groundbreaking or original, it’s decent. It’s nothing to “write home about”, but it’s not bad either. It’s a sequel, though you don’t need to have listened to or read the first one to follow along. I enjoyed it, it kept me entertained for a few hours as it was exactly what I expected; an undercover cop thriller by an author whose work I’ve reviewed a few times and was, therefore, familiar with.
There were a few attempts at “love scenes” that were just truly terrible. If you don’t read a lot of romance they might be passable. It’s clear that not a lot of work was put into them.
The narration is alright at best. Really, the saving point to it for me was the voices. The line readings could have used some work, but it was at least easy to tell who was speaking in this story.
