The Forward Collection is something I discovered in late 2019 or early 2020 when I first started listening to more Audiobooks. It’s a 6 book series written by 6 different authors about possible futures, curated by Blake Crouch.

I think Randomize is the weakest and least interesting story in the Forward Collection. It’s the only one I don’t recommend individually. As a collection, the Forward Collection is better than the sum of its parts. On its own, Randomize is just an uninteresting story of nerd techno babble that I can’t fathom anybody enjoying. It has its interesting moments, but it doesn’t make up for the downright boring exposition dump that is the plot.

The narrator did a fantastic job…. of keeping me awake through this dreadfully boring story. She also did a great job with voices and accents.
