I use the following rating systems for my reviews.

Suggestion

The first system is just my general suggestion. Read it or don’t read it. I’ve only found myself giving the third suggestion once so far. ‘Meh’, for books that aren’t really worth reading but they’re not entirely terrible.

  • Don’t Read:
    • Blood in the Water : A True Story of Small-Town Revenge by Silver Donald Cameron

Numbers/Stars

For websites such as Goodreads or Amazon that feature arbitrary number and star systems for their reviews, I either rate books a 1, 3 or 5.
