Review: New Orleans Nocturnes Collection 1

Join the supes of New Orleans Nocturnes as they lighten up the darker side of the Big Easy in this paranormal romantic-comedy collection by award-winning author Carrie Pulkinen!

Fantastic. It’s just my luck I get turned into a vampire by an Edward Cullen wannabe who has Captain Jack Sparrow as his mentor.

He did gift me with immortality, super strength, and a complexion to die for, so I suppose I shouldn’t complain.

There’s only one tiny problem….

I faint at the sight of blood.

All I wanted was to have the time of my life with my bestie at Mardi Gras. But you know what they say….

It’s all fun and games until someone wakes up dead.

Follow Jane, Sophie, and Crimson on their journeys to navigate the world of supernatural New Orleans and maybe even find love along the way!

Review: Minion

There is one woman who is all that stands between us and the eternal night. Here is an account of her legend….

All Damali Richards ever wanted to do was create music and bring it to the people. Now she is a Spoken Word artist and the top act for Warriors of Light Records. But come nightfall, she hunts vampires and demons―predators that people tend to dismiss as myth or fantasy.

But Damali and her Guardian team cannot afford such delusions, especially now, when a group of rogue vampires have been killing the artists of Warriors of Light and their rival, Blood Music. Strange attacks have also erupted within the club drug-trafficking network and drawn the attention of the police. These killings are a bit out of the ordinary, even for vampires. No neat puncture marks in the neck to show where the life’s blood has been sucked from the body; these bodies have been mutilated beyond recognition, indicating a blood lust and thirst for destruction that surpasses any Damali has encountered before.

Damali soon discovers that behind these brutal murders is the most powerful vampire she has ever met, and this seductive beast is coming for her next. But his unholy intentions have also drawn the focus of other hellish dark forces. Soon Damali finds herself being pulled deeper into the vast and horrifying vampire world.

Fallon Nuit, a rogue vampire, is one of the most powerful Damali has ever encountered and he has allied himself with the deadly Amanrath demons in order to claim her. And she must risk trusting him once more if they are to survive.

Review: The Impassioned Choice

A new villain emerges, threatening the peace the immortals crave….

Heden, the youngest Vampyre royal, has always strived to live up to his sovereign duty.

As the most gifted programmer in the immortal world, he applies his skills to protect the kingdom and the family he adores. But his siblings have all settled down with families of their own, and Heden often feels like a perpetual third wheel.

Wracked with guilt after her grandfather’s violent death, Sofia Morelli made a sinister pact with an unknown ally. Utilizing her tech ingenuity to plan the ultimate attack against the immortal royals, she begins to realize they might not be the nefarious enemies she believed them to be.

As Heden discovers the new adversaries and learns someone on the Secret Society shares his hacking prowess, he realizes the human, Sofia, might actually hold the key to defeating them. Determined to turn the feisty woman to his side, he employs his jovial nature and seduction skills to win her over. But when their tentative connection turns into something more, Heden understands a coding war isn’t the only thing he could lose to the spunky human. For, he might just lose his heart to someone who can never share his immortal future….

The Etherya’s Earth series is best listened to in order so the listener can enjoy the evolution of the characters. After all, the author loves a good twist and wants the listener to uncover them organically. However, listeners of romance rest assured that each book has its own featured hero/heroine and HEA.
