This is a rare case where I have only positive things to say about this story. I looooved the characters. Their dialogue, their interactions, their personalities. I just couldn’t get enough of them. I’m a fan of vampire stories and forbidden love as well so that just added to my enjoyment.

The romance scenes were great. I often find they’re either too childish or just porn. It’s nice to have a romance scene that’s well written and one where the characters are genuinely into each other. It’s a romance scene with a purpose, not a scene that’s there just to be there.

My flavorite line in the book was “Don’t give me hope. I just learned to function without hope. I can’t go back.” It’s a great quote in general but it really shows just how much these two mean to each other. It truly captures all of their chemistry and love into a few sentences.

The narrator was great. I forgot I was even listening to an audiobook after I got into it.
