Book 6 and hopefully the last in this series. I say that both because I’m burned out on listening to them as well as because the ending did a nice enough job of wrapping things up. It’s another lazy as hell copy-paste from the other books, but at least they were in danger for once.

This is another open where the mystery isn’t all that interesting and takes a back seat to the romance. Though there are other elements at work to keep the reader invested. Magic stones, a strange cult, a kidnapped woman. I like that the characters from all the past books keep reappearing and their stories get fleshed out. It feels like these people are all meant to be together as a chosen family, something I’ve always loved in stories.

The narrator was excellent. I have nothing else to say about her performance.
