This review only covers the audiobook. I DNF’ed this after 3 chapters, I wouldn’t wish listening to another minute of this narration on anybody.
The narration has this insufferable background hiss, and he sounds like he’s in a hurry. I listen at 2.55x speed and the majority of narrations sound like a normal talking speed to me, while the odd one out sounds as if the narrator is trying to get through the lines as quickly as possible. Every character has the same voice, making the overall tone of the audiobook extremely robotic.
