I have mixed feelings about this book. At times, it feels too much like “a day in the life of Officer Violet Babineaux”. It’s a slow burn at first, I stuck with it and became engrossed in the mysteries.

The audiobook narrator is great overall. There’s a time or two where the audio is poorly connected; which is to be expected with Audible books. Her character voices are passable but by no means bad.

This isn’t the most thought-provoking mystery, it’s still enjoyable and I recommend it.
