My first impression of the female lead is that she cums off sounding like a supervillain. She makes it out like her whole reason for living is to get vengeance on some guy who wronged her in high school, but then she constantly goes on about how she’s over it and that was a lifetime ago, etc. It sends mixed messages.
As for the guy who wronged her, it didn’t sound like what he did was all that bad. The entire story, people talk about this mean nickname he gave her, and yet at one point he said it was a nickname he’d heard other people calling her. Other people were the ones who chose to make a big deal out of it and he seemingly felt bad and tried to apologize to no avail.
Her whole thing seems to be that she wants to take the job he loves so much away from him, yet plot-wise, it feels as if it’s barely touched upon as if he only cares about it vocally, but action-wise, he cums off as indifferent. Despite her supposed seething hatred for him, she lets him off rather easily and they fall for each other. Honestly, I found their romance adorable and it’s the only thing that saved the story for me.
The dual narrators, as always, did an exceptional job. I have nothing to add, as I didn’t encounter any errors, nothing stood out as I was listening.
